Augmented Chinatown
In collaboration with RVLV, I had the
exciting opportunity to redesign the interactive mobile application for Chinese Arts Now, an app
that uses advanced Augmented Reality (AR) technology to offer an immersive tour of London’s
historically rich Chinatown. The project began with the goal of enhancing the overall user
experience while preserving the immersive AR elements that make the app unique.
Our primary mission was to seamlessly blend the existing AR landscape with a fresh, intuitive,
and user-friendly interface that would make navigation more enjoyable for users. I worked on
refining the visual design and optimizing the interface to create a more engaging and accessible
experience.
Beyond the visual redesign, I also took a deep dive into the user experience, evaluating and
restructuring the app's flow to ensure it was both functional and engaging. This included
identifying pain points in the user journey and making adjustments that would enhance usability
and user satisfaction.
The final phase of the project involved testing and refining the design to ensure everything
worked seamlessly across different devices. The result was a revitalized app that transformed
how users interacted with the cultural landmarks in Chinatown, enhancing their experience
through innovative technology and intuitive design.
